‘Good Day’ weaves together a series of images taken at Coney Island, Mexico, and LA, binding them with collaged sections of textured paint. A vision of chaotic harmony, store fronts, fairground rides, and residential rows create an impossible space, where aeroplanes drift through blue skies and acrobats swing on suspended hoops. Through its complexity of composition, ‘Good Day’ opens a space in which borders can be transgressed: America and Mexico seamlessly converge in this utopian dreamscape.
